A Piper PA-31 on a medevac mission crashed on Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, Canada Saturday, killing a pilot and a paramedic on-board, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

A second pilot and a registered nurse on the plane survived.

Air New Brunswick (ANB) named the paramedic as William Mallock, with 20 years of service.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends and colleagues of those whose lives were lost – an Ambulance New Brunswick paramedic and a pilot from Atlantic Charters,” said a statement released by ANB, published by CBC.

ANB said that the plane had just dropped off a patient at a hospital and was returning to Grand Manon when it crashed.
